Rally Cross PSN

A chaotic, and bouncy rally racing game. One of the aspects of this game that set it aside from other games at this time was the variety of the terrain. Not only is it off-road, but the course is filled with jumps, dips, hairpins, and off camber turns. Consequently, it is very common for the car to flip upside down. By pressing the shoulder buttons, the player can rock the car left or right. To get back on the tires, the user must time the rocking of the car to flip it back upright.

Rally Cross PSN

From the days of the PS one, this downloadable game allows you to play the classic original on your PSP handheld system or PS3 home console. The rally is on! Four venomous computer opponents try to make your job as tough as possible as you speed around six of the most harrowing rally courses the world has ever known. Journey deep into the desert, through the lush hills of Europe, and around gigantic stadiums as you try to prove your driving superiority. The more you win, the more vehicles you can unlock but with 20 different racers to reveal, you've got your work cut out for you. There are four hardcore rally trucks included in the bunch, and each has its own independent suspension, speed, handling, and acceleration ratings to help you choose the right one. Mud throwing, fishtailing, and forcing wrecks are all par for the course, as you do what you have to in the heat of battle. Beware, though: the powerslides, rolling crashes, and head-on collisions might look cool, but they'll damage your vehicle for good. Test your mettle in a Season, or enter a Tournament, choosing from three difficulty levels and four unique perspectives. You'd better wear your helmet for this rally, folks.

A special edition of Colin McRae Rally 2005 will lead Codemasters' PSP publishing schedule. This benchmark of rally games will come to Sony's handheld format with over 30 rally cars, a diverse range of rally events, cups and championships to create a world of rallying for players on the move.

With a variety of gaming modes, including 4WD Championship, Career and Multiplayer modes over the wireless network, the game's structure will offer the perfect mobile rallying experience. The game's structure enables players to pick up and play for as long as they wish - whether it be hours or 5 minutes at a time - their progress will be updated without having to wait for a save point. Colin McRae Rally 2005 on PSP is being developed by Six By Nine, the team responsible for the hugely successful PC editions of Colin McRae Rally 3, 04 and 2005.

In CMR 2005's case that means over 30 rally cars, and a huge range of events, cups and championships including 4WD, career and wireless multiplayer modes. And Codies reckons you'll be able to pick up and play for as little or as long as you want, as the game will record all progress without your having to wait for a save point. You can see six screenshots of the PSP CMR 2005 here.

TOCA Race Driver 2, meanwhile, will utilise the same engine as the home console versions of the same, will feature more than 30 global championships stretched across 52 circuits, and will inherit all 15 different motorsport disciplines from the PS2 version. For the record that's GT Sports Car Racing, Street Racing, Rally, DTM, V8 Supercars, Global GT Lights, Rally Cross, Formula Ford, Open Wheel Grand Prix, Classic Car Racing, Super Truck Racing, Stockcar Oval Racing, Ice Racing, Convertible Racing and Performance Cars. Phew. Furthermore, Codies is promising up to 21 cars on track at once, and wireless LAN play for up to eight people. 041b061a72
